Life Jacket Giveaway for National Water Safety Month May 2, 2019

May is National Water Safety Month and the Rodeo-Hercules Fire Protection District will be distributing children’s life jackets Saturday, May 11 from 9-4 at Station 76 (1680 Refugio Valley Rd. in Hercules). Children must be present for fitting. Various quantities are available in sizes Child, Youth, and Universal (not adult). No reservations and holds, please. Jackets are limited to residents within the county.

Many thanks to UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland Trauma Services and Injury Prevention Program for securing the grant from the Safe and Active Communities Branch’s State and Local Injury Control Section, which oversees and administers an amount annually appropriated from the Child Health and Safety Fund dedicated to preventing unintentional childhood injuries.
