Public Vaccination Clinics

May contain: car, transportation, vehicle, automobile, person, and human
May contain: person, human, crowd, clothing, and apparel

Contra Costa County fire agencies are proud to continue our first fire-service-hosted public vaccination clinics today, Feb. 2, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., in Hercules.

Yesterday’s clinic vaccinated some 500 county residents in a quick and convenient drive-through format, helping us all to move the needle a little closer to normalcy.

These clinics are leveraging all of the first line emergency medical capabilities of our county fire services to expand vaccination opportunities for county residents.

This multi-agency effort is at the request and in support of Contra Costa Health Services and includes major participation of the County Sheriff’s Office of Emergency Services, local law enforcement agencies, county ambulance transport Alliance partner AMR, community organizations and many volunteers,

If you are scheduled to receive your vaccine in Hercules today, please plan to arrive NO earlier than 10 minutes ahead to avoid causing unnecessary congestion at the clinic site. You should expect the process to take from 30-45 minutes start-to-finish and to leave with your second vaccine appointment.

Please do NOT come to the clinic site today if you do not have an appointment; no drop-ins can be accommodated.

Instead, please to determine eligibility and make your appointment for an upcoming clinic at any of the many available locations, please visit the County Health webpage, www.coronavirus.cchealth.org/vaccine or, for information, call the CCHS multilingual call center at 1-844-729-8410.

If you are not visiting the clinic with an appointment, please avoid the area if possible as traffic volume will be higher than normal.

In addition to the first West County clinics, several more will be conducted each week by County fire services in East and South County. Initially, each will be capable of delivering 500 vaccine doses and will be able to scale to higher numbers as vaccine availability and demand may require. Appointments can be made for any of these clinics, as well as others, by visiting the CCHS vaccine webpage.

The Hercules clinics will be conducted at the Valley Bible Church 1477 Willow Ave. The entrance for vaccination appointments is opposite Palm Ave.

Please do NOT call 911 or non-emergency dispatch numbers for vaccine clinic information.
