TIME OF ALARM:10:36 hours

TYPE OF ALARM:   Commercial Structure Fire

LOCATION:     55 W Grove Street North Richmond

RESPONSE:   4 Engine Companies, 1 Truck Company, 1 Squad, 2 Battalion Chiefs, 1 medic unit, 1 Fire Investigator, Sheriffs Department, and PG&E

ASSISTING AGENCIES:  Contra Costa County Fire Protection District, Richmond Fire Department, Rodeo Hercules Fire Protection District, and PG&E.

TOTAL FIRE PERSONNEL AT SCENE:   20

All Concerned-

At 10:36hrs crews from Contra Costa County Fire Protection District, and the Richmond Fire Department responded to 55 W Grove Avenue in North Richmond for a report of a commercial structure fire.

Upon arrival crews found a working fire in a vacant single story duplex with VPS material on all windows and doors, smoke was showing from the bravo (left) and charlie (right) sides of the building.

First alarm fire crews were able remove the VPS to gain access to extinguish the fire quickly. The fire originated from the exterior and extended into the structure to the rear bedroom. Crews conducted a primary and secondary search with no results. Salvage and overhaul was completed. No fire personnel were injured during fire ground operations.  Operations were completed at 11:45 hrs.
