On October 78, 2006, the District hosted its Annual Open House at the Hercules Fire Station No. 76. Bicycle helmets were given away to children under the age of 14. Funding for the helmets was provided by a grant from the Rodeo Municipal Advisory Council. Popcorn, balloons, hot dogs and fire prevention information was given away as well. Demonstrations included the District's Live Burn Trailer and its Fire Prevention Trailer -- both trailers were received by the District through grant funding from the Department of Homeland Security. Firefighters also presented a vehicle extrication demonstration. The District will hold its Annual Open House next year in October at the Rodeo Fire Station No. 76
