In October of 2003 one of five strike teams of engines from Contra Costa County sent to the Southern California Fire Storms responded to the "Old" fire in San Bernardino County. Led by Battalion Chief Biagi of Rodeo-HerculesFire District, Engines from Rodeo-Hercules Fire, Pinole Fire, Moraga-Orinda Fire, San Ramon Fire and Crockett Fire responded to provide structure protection to San Bernardino County and the communities of Highland, Running Springs, Big Bear, Arrow Bear, Crestline and Lake Arowhead. The team of engines was deployed between October 25th and November 3, 2003.
