On August 18, 2001 Strike Team XCC-2025-C responded to the Ponderosa Fire located between Auburn and Colfax and within the Auburn State Recreation Area. This team was requested through the California State Master Mutual Aid System and was in response to a series of lightning caused fires started throughout the area. ST 2025-C was lead by Battalion Chief Biagi from Rodeo-Hercules Fire District and was made up of Rodeo-Hercules Engine 376, Contra Costa Engine 383, San Ramon Engine 334, East Bay Parks Engine 5661 and East Diablo Engine 357.
